JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated UWM Underwriter to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs) in the efficient processing of mortgage loans. If you are organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong understanding of income calculation and mortgage processes, we encourage you to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Customer Interaction:

Assist clients with loan applications and documentation.
Provide timely updates on the status of loan applications.
Respond to client inquiries and concerns.

B. Documentation and Processing:

Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure timely submission of required documentation to underwriting.
Collaborate with the loan processor for efficient processing.

C. Data Entry and Record Keeping:

Enter and maintain accurate client information in the loan origination system.
Keep comprehensive records of client interactions and loan progress.

D. Income Calculation:

Verify and analyze borrower income documentation.
Understand various income sources and calculate debt-to-income ratios.

E. United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) Knowledge:

Familiarity with UWM's mortgage products and guidelines.
Proficient in using UWM's technology platforms for document submission.
Establish effective communication with UWM representatives.

F. Administrative Support:

Provide administrative assistance to Mortgage Loan Officers.
Manage schedules, appointments, and phone communications.

G. Compliance and Regulation:

Stay informed about mortgage lending regulations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and UWM requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant or in a related role.
Strong understanding of income calculation and debt-to-income ratios.
Familiarity with United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) products and guidelines is a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in using mortgage-related software and technology platforms.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and external partners.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Schedule:

● Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

● Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

● Closed Sundays/Holidays

● AI System Online 24/7

Supplemental Pay:

● W-2 or 1099

● Base and/or Commission pay depending on the legal position

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $42,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
